Childbirth is a matter of grave importance to women. Almost all pregnant women must put up with morning sickness, and when giving birth they endure labor pains for anywhere from several hours to several days. This has created the accepted idea that childbirth involves suffering and putting one's life on the line. Why must women suffer so in order to deliver the adorable children that they love? It is because humans have for a long time lived in a way that deviates from natural laws. Medical data show that 26 percent of newborns have postnatal respiratory difficulties because their mothers were administered anesthetics and painkillers in anticipation of a painful childbirth. Such respiratory difficulties could result in insufficient oxygen in the brain, thus destroying brain cells and having serious consequences for intelligence, character, and the like. It is also possible that very difficult delivery will cause problems such as cerebral paralysis, autism,
or abnormal personality.By contrast, Shinreikyo women can have worry-free and natural childbirths because, thanks to the power of God, they are freed from the spiritual and physical distortions passed on to them from previous generations. Women troubled by menstrual cramps and undue sensitivity to cold are freed from those unpleasant pains and chills, and no longer require medication. Women with weak physical constitutions, who are regarded as unfit for pregnancy and childbirth, undergo changes that give them strong constitutions and allow them to have children in natural deliveries. There are even women whose pelvises, considered too narrow for easy childbirth, expanded several centimeters to allow easy deliveries. The children thus born can begin a happy life. One of their characteristics is an umbilical cord that is about twice as thick as those of ordinary babies. In the womb, the umbilical cord is the lifeline that links the placenta and the fetus, which obtains oxygen and nutrients from its mother, and sends wastes back to her, through the umbilical cord. A thick lifeline means that the baby is getting a good supply of oxygen and nutrients, which makes for good brain development and robust internal organs. Another major feature is that such babies' heads are round and well-shaped, indicating that the brain cells are well-developed, and that these children are gifted in intelligence and personality. The children are born healthy and intelligent. From a parental point of view, such children are easy to raise because they do not cry at night and do not ordinarily cry very much, other than when they want to be fed or have their diapers changed. These children grow quickly and vigorously, require little attention, and further have God's protection against accidents and disasters, thereby allowing parents worry-free child care. |
